Selangor and Sabah filled the last two spots in the Malaysia Cup quarter-finals after beating their opponents in group matches Tuesday (27/9/11) night.
Selangor and Sabah will join Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Terengganu, Kelantan, Felda United and T-Team in the quarter-finals on 10 and 14 October.
In their opening quarter-final matches next Thursday, Selangor will face Perak, Felda United plays Negeri Sembilan, Terengganu against Kelantan and Sabah takes on T-Team.
On Tuesday, Selangor with goals from Razman Roslan (66th minute) and skipper Mohd Amri Yahyah (77) came back from behind to edge Kuala Lumpur 2-1 in their last Group D encounter at the Shah Alam Stadium.
Kuala Lumpur opened scoring in the 37th minute with a header from captain Muhammad Shahrom Abdul Kalam.
In the final Group A match, Sabah trounced Johor 4-1 at the Tan Sri Dato' Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium, Larkin.
Sabah scored through Razlan Oto in the 31st minute, Mohd Rozaimi Abdul Rahman (60th), Radzi Mohd Hussin (66th) and Mohd Farid Ideris (81st) while Johor got their consolation goal through Mohd Fedzuan Nawi (53rd).
In another Group A match, Kedah's hopes of making it to the quarter-finals were dashed when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Perak at the Darul Aman Stadium, Alor Setar.
In Group C, Kelantan beat Felda United 2-0 at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium, Kota Baharu with both goals scored by Norshahrul Idlan Talaha in the 62nd and 71st minutes.
Elsewhere, in Group C, Johor FC beat Sarawak 3-1 at the Pasir Gudang Municipal Council Stadium and T-team whitewashed Police 6-0 in Group D at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium, Paroi.
In Group B, Selangor PKNS beat Sime Darby by a solitary goal at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium.
On the other hand, in another Group B match, Terengganu played to a scoreless draw against Negeri Sembilan at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium, Kuala Terengganu.
But the encounter lasted only 40 minutes as it had to be called off due to thunderstorms.
