KOMPANY FOR LAUNCH

ProEvents International sprang a double surprise at the ticket launch of newly crowned English Premier League champions Manchester City’s match against Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur on 30th July 2012 at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

First they brought Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany all the way from London for a surprise appearance at the event held at Wisma FAM, Wednesday (6/6/12).

The second “goodie” came from ProEvents International Sdn Bhd’s Chief Executive Officer Mr Julian Kam who announced that there will no increase in the price of tickets for the match.

Tickets for the match are priced at RM58, RM68, RM108 and limited VIP tickets at RM388 and will be available from Thursday, June 7th at all Ticketpro outlets, Ticketpro hotline and www.ticketpro.com.my.

“Despite the escalating costs around the world, there will be no increase in the price of tickets for the match. The price of tickets has remained the same for the last decade.

“We want to make it affordable for all the football fans. This is our way of giving them a treat to first class football from a world class team,” said Julian at the launch. “With the star-studded line up, we hope all the football fans will come and catch the newly crowned Premier League Champions live in action.”

The match will be organised by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and promoted exclusively by ProEvents who are celebrating their 20th anniversary in the football business.

“Malaysia is the only South East Asian country given the opportunity to host the English giants and it is therefore expected that many football fans from neighbouring countries including  Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam will be visiting Malaysia during that week,” said Dato’ Azzuddin Ahmad, General Secretary of FAM.

The 26-year-old Kompany, who is also the captain of the Belgium national team, has pledged his long term future to Manchester City after winning the English Premier League title.

The Belgian, best remembered for scoring the solitary goal in his team’s 1-0 win over bitter rivals Manchester United in the Manchester derby, said: “We can’t stop with just winning the Premier League title. We want to win the Champions League too.”

Football fans still remember Manchester City’s amazing last day drama, scoring two injury time goals to clinch a dramatic come-from-behind 3-2 win over Queens Park Rangers at the Etihad Stadium to snatch the English title for the first time in 44 years is still fresh in the minds of football fans around the world.

Further information about the match, team and fans activities will be announced shortly.
