ARSENAL TICKETS ON SALES

English Premier League giant Arsenal Football Club will be kicking off their pre-season tour to the Far East in Malaysia and the match tickets will be on sale from Friday (June 15).

Organised by the Football Association of Malaysia and promoted exclusively by ProEvents International Sdn Bhd, the match “Malaysia XI vs Arsenal” will be held at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil, at 9.45pm on July 24th.

“Arsenal will be sending the full first team squad for the tour, which is presented by our partners Emirates,” said Mr. Ivan Gazidis, Chief Executive of Arsenal. "We are delighted to be coming back to Kuala Lumpur. We had a fantastic pre-season programme in KL last year and Arsene and his players are looking forward to the trip.”

“When Emirates began its partnership with Arsenal back in 2004 it was always our aim to be able to bring the football club closer to its millions of loyal fans across the six continents that we fly to.  We are delighted that as the Presenting Partner of the Arsenal 2012 Tour, it will be possible for fans of Arsenal to see their heroes in action right here in Malaysia, a country that we have been flying to since 1996,” said Kavin Martinus, Emirates' Country Manager - Malaysia.

Datuk K. Rajagobal will be leading his team to face some of the world’s most famous star players such as Robin van Persie, Lukas Podolski, Tomas Rosicky and Theo Walcott. If that’s not enough, Malaysian football fans will for the first time be able to catch the likes of superstars such as Gervinho, Per Mertesacker, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mikel Arteta in the flash.

“This is historical as Arsenal will be the first English Premier League team to have played back-to-back years in Malaysia and every Malaysian football fans should be part of it and be proud of it,” said Julian Kam, CEO, ProEvents Group, who’s celebrating its 20th year in the world of football business. “Arsenal was overwhelmed by the warm reception in Malaysia last year. They managed to draw an impressive 60,000-strong crowd last year and we are expecting more this time round.”

Tickets for the match are priced at RM58, RM68, RM108 and limited VIP tickets at RM388 and they will be available exclusively at selected Nike outlets from June 15th to 21st.  Each ticket will come with a complimentary training pass (while stocks last) to watch the exclusive open training session by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

From June 22nd onwards tickets will be available at all Ticketpro outlets nationwide, Ticketpro hotline 03-7880-7999 and www.ticketpro.com.my.

Kam said that despite the turbulent economy causing prices to soar around the world, ProEvents had made it of utmost importance to provide fans from all walks of life the chance to catch their team in action and that the ticket price has remain unchanged from previous years.

“This is our way of thanking fans for their continued support over the years,” said Kam, a licensed FIFA Match Agent. “We want to make it affordable for all the fans and yet make the whole experience of money-can’t-buy value.”
