“The Chance” – only the best for Barcelona

The Malaysian leg of “The Chance”, a unique global football talent search, kicks off next month with trails being conducted in three zones.

The programme is open to players between the ages of 16 and 24. The organizers are expecting 6,000 players to participate with only the best will get the chance to train in Barcelona.

"It will definitely be tough for the 16 or 17-year-olds to compete with older players and those not short-listed, who are not under any state-level sports school programme, will get an opportunity to try out with local teams," said national Under-23 coach Ong Kim Swee at the launch of the programme at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya, Tuesday (27/3/12).
