MELC 2011 Semi-Finals Cast Complete

The cast for the semi-finals of the Under-14 Minister of Education League Cup (MELC) 2011 is complete following the final round of group matches Saturday (2/7/11).

PKNS terus bergaya

PKNS FC mengesahkan kedudukannya sebagai pasukan terbaik dalam Liga Premier setelah berjaya menewaskan Harimau Muda B 2-1 dalam perlawanan yang berlangsung di Stadium MBPJ di Kelana Jaya, Jumaat (1/07/11).

Ini merupakan kemenangan kali ke 18 bagi PKNS FC yang menamatkan musim ini dengan mengutip 57 mata untuk menjuarai Liga Premier 2011. Sarawak muncul naib johan dengan 48 mata manakala di tempat ketiga ialah PDRM.

Pasukan B-15 menang di Chonburi

Pasukan Bawah 15 kebangsaan menewaskan skuad Bawah 15 tahun Chonburi FC 2-0 dalam satu perlawanan persahabatan yang berlangsung di Stadium Suzuki di Chonburi, Thailand, malam tadi (30/06/11).

Gol pertama pasukan Malaysia dijaringkan oleh Muhammad Hakimi Husin manakala Muhamad Akram Asidi menyumbang gol kedua.

Pasukan yang dibimbing oleh Ketua Jurulatih Khalid Shahdan berada di Chonburi untuk latihan dan perlawanan persahabatan sebelum menyertai Kejohanan AFF di Vientiane, Laos dari 5 hingga 21 Julai.

Malaysia eager to create history

After winning the AFF-Suzuki Cup late last year, the national team wants to create a bigger history when they play Chinese-Taipei in the Asian Zone World Cup Qualifiers at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil tonight (29/06/11).

Chief Coach Datuk K. Rajagobal players are eager and excited to start their campaign on a positive note in the first round first leg match. The second leg will be in Chinese Taipei on July 3.

All Over For Former Champs Bandar Penawar In U14 Melc

It is all over for former champions Bandar Penawar Sports School of Johor as they wave goodbye to their semi-finals aspiration in the Under-14 Minister of Education League Cup (MELC) following their drab 1-1 draw against SMK Seri Titiwangsa of Wilayah Persekutuan yesterday.

Now known as SSM Tunku Mahkota Ismail, the winners in 2009, have been struggling all throughout the current season where they have only picked up 15 points from 12 matches to be placed fourth in Group B.

Terengganu juara Piala FA

Terengganu mengakhiri penantian selama 11 tahun untuk menjulang Piala FA selepas menumpaskan Kelantan 2-1 pada perlawanan akhir yang menarik di Stadium Nasional, Bukit Jalil, Sabtu.

Ahmad Nordin Alias menjadi wira Terengganu apabila menjaringkan gol penentuan pada masa tambahan setelah kedua-dua pasukan terikat 1-1 selepas tempoh 90 minit berakhir.

Kali terakhir Terengganu menjulang trofi itu ialah pada 2000 setelah menewaskan Pulau Pinang melalui sepakan penalti 5-3 apabila kedudukan terikat 1-1 setelah tamat masa tambahan.

Liverpool touch for KLFA academy

The KLFA Football Academy is set to be among the top in the country. The Kuala Lumpur Football Association (KLFA) will be working with renowned English Premier League football club, Liverpool FC to bring excellence to their academy.

KLFA President, Datuk Astaman Abdul Aziz said, KLFA had received a letter of intent from Liverpool FC to work with the KLFA Football Academy.
