Malaysia in third place

YANGON - Goalkeeper Muhamad Ilham AmirullahRazali turned hero when he saved the first two penalties in a thrilling shootout to pave the way for Malaysia to grab the bronze medal in the AFF Under-19 Championship at the Youth Training Centre Stadium here, Wednesday (21/9/11).

With the rain-interrupted match finishing 0-0 after an intense 90-minute battle, the teams had to settle score in a penalty showdown. Malaysia eventually won the shootout 4-2.

Fukuoka - Japan made a winning start to their Group C campaign in the third round of AFC Asian Qualifiers for the 2012 Olympics when the “Young Samurai” squad defeated a hard-working Malaysia 2-0 at the Tosu Stadium Wednesday (21/9/11).

For Japan, the win must come as good news after the nation was hit b y Typhoon Roke a day earlier.

But the hosts, coached by Takashi Sekizuka were not disturbed nor interested in the weather, rather they stuck to what they were supposed to do - displaying their superior skills against Malaysia.

AFF U-19: Malaysia trash Singapore

YANGON – Malaysia revived their campaign for a place in the semi-finals of the AFF Under-19 Championship 2011 when they beat Singapore 6-0 TYuesday (13 Sept 2011) while Thailand whitewashed Cambodia 5-0 to take control of Group A.

After being held scoreless by Cambodia in their first match and then losing 1-0 to the Thais, the Malaysians needed to improve their game for a chance to finish second in Group A and a place in the next round.

A football team from Eton College, a prestigious college in England, arrived in Kuala Lumpur Monday (22/8/11) to play a series of friendly matches with the national youth and Pahang youth teams during their 14-day tour of Malaysia.

Adalah dimaklumkan bahawa perlawanan akhir Piala Melaka Bawah 23 Tahun anjuran Kelab Bola Sepak Warisan Melayu Melaka akan dilangsungkan pada hari Jumaat 12hb Ogos 2011 bermula jam 9 malam di Stadium Hang Tuah, Melaka Bandaraya Bersejarah.

Perlawanan akhir akan menemukan sekali lagi tuan rumah Melaka dengan Majlis Perbandaran Muar (MP Muar) setelah kedua - dua pasukan menduduki dua tangga teratas selepas berakhirnya pusingan awal. Sebelum ini pada perlawanan pembukaan Melaka dan MP Muar terikat 2 - 2.
