AWARDS PROVIDE GRAND FINALE TO FOOTBALL SEASON

The 2011 Malaysian football season will conclude with a grand finale on Nov 1 when the annual 100PLUS-Astro Arena-FAM National Football Awards ceremony is held at a leading hotel in Petaling Jaya.

The awards ceremony, which will be held at the Holiday Inn Glenmarie, will see the M-League’s best being awarded for their outstanding performances throughout the season. This includes the coveted Most Valuable Player Award, the prize every player dreams of winning. Last year, national striker Norshahrul Idlan Talaha was named the MVP.

Norshahrul's Kelantan teammate, Khairul Fahmi Che Mat was voted the best Goalkeeper. Kelantan won four awards in total, including Best Coach which was won by former national coach, B. Sathianathan.
