Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) organized a FIFA Goalkeeping Course 2015 commencing on Monday (12 October 2015) at the National Sports Council (MSN) Bukit Jalil.
It is scheduled to run for five days until Sunday (17 October 2015) with a total number of 30 participants which comprises of goalkeeping coaches from Malaysia Super League (MSL) and Malaysia Premier League (MPL) teams.
The course aims to aid the development of young goalkeepers by educating goalkeeping coaches through numerous theoretical and practical sessions on various goalkeeping techniques.
The opening ceremony was attended by FAM Technical Director, Fritz Schmid and FIFA Goalkeeping Instructor, Hans Leitert. Currently serving as the Head of Goalkeeping development at Red Bull Global Soccer, Leitert has a wealth of coaching experience which includes a stint with English Premier League (EPL) side, Tottenham Hotspur in 2009.
