KL Felda United extended their lead on top of the Felda/Fam National Futsal League

KL Felda United extended their lead on top of the Felda/Fam National Futsal League table after defeating closest rivals Quilmes FC 4-1 today.

Felda now have a eight point gap over Quilmes and are hot favorites to take home the title this year.

It was end to end stuff from the opening whistle and Felda started the ball rolling as early in the 4th minute when Saiful Nizam Mohamad Ali found the back of the net.

Ahmad Fawzul Hadzir doubled Felda's lead in the 16th minute, before Muhammad Akmal Yazadh Amri and Mohd Azwann Ismail gave the table toppers a comfortable lead when they found the back of the net in the 23rd and 24th minute respectively.

Quilmes who totally outplayed in every department found a consolation in the 13th minute through Mohd Faisal Saharudin.

Felda team captain Syarizuwan Mansor said after the victory, "We came into the match knowing that it was going to be feisty affair and indeed it was.

"Both sides were provoking each other on and off the pitch but we kept our cool and found the goals.

"We have a good lead on top of the table now but we cant take things for granted and we have to remain focused all the way."
