Nothing much at Bukit Jalil

About 5,000 fans turned up to watch the much anticipated Super League match between Selangor and Singapore Lions XII at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, Wednesday night (8/2/12).

But the clash between the two rivals, after an 18-year hiatus from Malaysian football league, was not as anticipated. The match ended in 1-1 draw.

Singapore skipper Shahril Ishak broke the deadlock with a close range shot in the 43rd minute. The Red Giants drew level through midfielder K. Gurusamy’s long range strike in stoppage time of the first half.
