Dollah Salleh joins FAM

Dollah Salleh, an experienced former national player was born on October 23, 1963 in Malacca. In June 2014,  he was  selected to be the new Head Coach for the Malaysian National Team, the Harimau Malaya, where he signed a two and a half year contract.

During the 80’s and 90’s he was a familiar name in the local football arena, as he one of the top Malaysias players.  In 1982, he joined the Johor FA, a team that was competative in the semi-pros. Together with his stiking partner, Zainal Abidin Hassan, they mesmarized local football fans.

He later also joined the Selangor FA, Pahang FA, Malacca FA and the Negeri Sembilan FA.

Along with the rest of his team matesl from the Malaysian National Football Team, Dollah won the the bronze medal in 1985, silver medal in 1987 and the gold medal at the 1989 South East Aisan Games. He also helped the Malaysian National team win the Merdeka Tournament in 1986, where they beat the Czech Republic and again in 1993, where they beat South Korea. Additionally, he also played in the first edition of the ASEAN Football Championship, where Malaysia played in the finals, and lost to Thailand.

Dollah also played for the Malaysian National Futsal Team , and was a part of the team that played in the 1996 FIFA Futsal World Championship in Spain.

Dollah retired playing football after the 1998 season ended. The last team he represented was Negeri Sembilan FA.

In 2003, he began his coaching career with the MPPJ FC and with his magic touch, the club became the first club to ever win the Malaysia Cup. He later guided the team to win the Malaysia Charity Shield and the Malaysia Premier League in 2004.

His success as a coach attracted the attention of the Selangor FA,who had then offered him a four year contract which started in 2005. During that first year, he led the Selangor FA to win the Malaysia Premier League, the Malaysia FA Cup and the Malaysia Cup.

He later moved on to coach the Pahang FA in the mid-season of 2009 ,where he replaced Tajudin Noor as the Head Coach. Under his coaching, the Pahang FA won the Malaysia Cup in 2013.

In 2014, he was elected to lead the PDRM FA where under his guidance and coaching, the team won the Malaysia Premier League title.
