On the 12th May 2014, FIFA-FAM grassroots course and festival was officially launched by Dato' Sri Subahan Kamal at Majlis Sukan Negara, Bukit Jalil. This course is aimed to expose the coaches with more friendly and educational approach in training the players which the coach-educator’s interest centres on the child. This is to ensure the development of child interest on football is progressing.
The course instructor is Chan Hiu Ming, Coach Education Manager from Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA). He is now a Federation Internationale de Football (FIFA) and Asian Football Confederation (AFC) instructor.
The course includes coach-educator’s mission promoting learning through play. More programmes for the coach-educators to encourage leadership and team spirit from children through football techniques. Educational approaches will be applied in football training to cultivate more positive characteristics in the children growth as football players and individuals as a whole.
