Three draws in the last three games has put Bandar Penawar Sports School’s challenge in the Under-14 Minister of Education League Cup (MELC) in jeopardy – but that not prodded them into panic just yet.
Chief coach Mohd Khalid Shahdan, who is also a former Malaysian international, said the important factor for the school is in moulding and giving the players football knowledge.
“Our team is much younger than the age limit, so we are looking at this tournament as prodding our young players to grow at a much faster rate than other players their own age,” said Khalid.
