Defending champions SMK Tunku Anum of Kedah recorded their fourth win on a trot when they beat SMK Mutiara Impian of Pulau Pinang 1-0 in the Under-14 Ministry of Education League Cup (MELC) over the weekend.
With the solitary goal of the game coming in the 12th minute off Mohamad Saiful Amiri Ismail, the slim victory has allowed SMK Tunku Anum to remain perched at the top of Group A with 12 points from four matches played.
Team manager Barkis Ismail said that the loss in the Charity Shield (to SMK Bukit Nenas) at the start of the season was just what the team needed to put their aspirations for the year right.
