For only the third time since 1964, Asia will play hosts to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Congress.

FIFA Executive Committee made the historic announcement in December 2013 that Malaysia have been chosen as the hosts of the 67th FIFA Congress in 2017. It will also be the first Congress to be chaired by the newly elected president, Gianni Infantino.

The city of Kuala Lumpur will join the ranks of Tokyo and Seoul who have hosted the momentous event in 1964 and 2002 respectively.  

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) is pleased to invite event management companies who are keen to organise this historic event either on a whole or specialised role basis to submit their respective proposals.

The areas of expertise required for the organization of the 2017 FIFA Congress are divided into four:

  1. Congress *;
  2. Opening ceremony *;
  3. Official Banquets * (Official Dinner, Congress Lunch, Post Coktail etc)
  4. Transportation, Security, Medical or other services. *

*Any one or all of the above

Visualisation and concept for the Congress comprised of two categories:

  1. Branding: Airport leading to City Centre, Congress Venue, Hotels, FIFA Secretariat, Official Areas, Press Conference, Media Working Area, Official Transportation, etc.
  1. Concept: Congress Venue, Opening Ceremony, Banquet (lunch/dinner), Companion’s Day, Press Conference, VVIP Holding Room, Post-Congress Cocktail, Hotels, Transportation, Volunteer Programs, Security, Medical, etc.

Interested parties are required to submit a letter of intent together with their proposal (Powerpoint Presentation) addressed to FAM General Secretary, Dato’ Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin and e-mail it to [email protected] & [email protected]. The deadline for submission is 7 March 2016 (Monday).

Following the evaluation of the letter of intent and proposal (Powerpoint Presentation) submitted by interested parties, only shortlisted parties will be called to present their proposal before the FAM Local Organising Committee (LOC) on 16 March 2016 (Wednesday).
