The cast for the semi-finals of the Under-14 Minister of Education League Cup (MELC) 2011 is complete following the final round of group matches Saturday (2/7/11).
As expected, defending champions SMK Tunku Anum of Kedah fulfilled their favourites tag by winning Group A with 31 points from 12 matches played while SMK Seri Kota of Melaka had to settle for the second spot with 23 points.
And this week, SMK Tunku Anum showed their pedigree by holding SMK Mutiara Impian of Penang 1-1 on the road – taking the lead off Muhammad Saiful Amiri Ismail (30th minute) before the home team replied through Muhammad Jafri Muhammad Firdaus Chew (45th minute).
