The 100PLUS Super Cup, which continues to be an important stepping stone for youth development in the country since its inception in 2000, will be held at the SMK Mutiara Impian Mini Stadium in Penang from Nov 24-27.
A total of 16 teams will be battling for honours in this annual tournament for the champion schools from every state.
“The 100PLUS Super Cup provides players not already playing in the Ministry of Education-organised leagues the chance to showcase their talents,” said Harmiles Daramin, the Head of Planning and Coordination, Sports Division, Ministry of Education said at a press conference at the Wisma FAM, Tuesday.
“This tournament will continue to be an important feature of football development in the country because it provides for an alternative platform to unearth new talent,” said Harmiles.
Meanwhile defending champions SMK Anderson of Perak (winners in 2003, 2008 and 2012) survived a hectic state level competition to earn the right to compete in the 100PLUS Super Cup again this year.
The other teams will be under pressure now to try and stop the Ipoh team from bagging a record fourth title.
Dato’ Kamal Harun, Consultant for F&N Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd, said 100PLUS was always supportive of youth development programmes.
“100PLUS is a firm believer that youth are our future and it is for that reason, we have supported this tournament all these years,” said Dato’ Kamal. “We hope the players will step up and live up to the 100PLUS spirit of ‘Win the Day’ when they compete.”
For competitors of the 100PLUS Super Cup, consuming 100PLUS will help them remain hydrated throughout the day to help them deliver their best performances on the course.
Meanwhile, apart from the 100PLUS Super Cup, 100PLUS supports other junior programmes including the recent 100PLUS Asian Junior Championships, 100PLUS National Junior Badminton Circuit, 100PLUS National Junior Badminton Inter-State Championship, the Ministry of Education Football League (Liga KPM) and the 100PLUS Malaysian Junior Open Golf.
100PLUS also supports the Football Association of Malaysia, Badminton Association of Malaysia, National Sports Council, Malaysian National Cycling Federation and Malaysian Golf Association.
100PLUS is one of the leading brands under the F&N flagship in Malaysia. It is produced and distributed by F&N Beverages Marketing SdnBhd, the largest soft drinks distributor and manufacturer in Malaysia.
