With last year‘s national and regional champions Kedah out, it is now left to SMK Anderson of Perak to carry Malaysia’s challenge in this year’s edition of Manchester United Premier Cup.
In the national Finals played at Padang MSN in Bukit Jalil today, SMK Anderson beat SMK Pusat Bandar Puchong of Selangor 1-0 in a thriller that could have gone either way to earn the sole ticket to the regional Finals which will be played in Si Racha,Thailand from June 6-9.
Last year, Kedah beat Indonesia’s Villa 2000 FC 5-4 on penalties in the regional finals played in Penang for the right to represent the region in the World Finals in Manchester.
