The Philippines national team got one of their better results in recent months when they held AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 champions Malaysia to a 1-1 draw in a friendly that was played at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Wednesday (29/2/12)..

Following two heavy losses in a tour of the Middle East recently, the game against the Malaysians was important in that it was the Philippines final tune up match before their participation in the AFC Challenge Cup.

And on Wednesday, with several of their foreign-based players to reinforce the squad, the Philippines were the first to make the score sheet when Dennis Wolf slammed home the lead on 33 minute.
