A special task force

A special task force would be set up to combat match fixing in the country.

Deputy President of The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), Tengku Abdullah Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah said the task force would be set up with the co-operation of the Royal Malaysian Police to monitor national and state teams and also the states football associations.

East Coast Teams Battle For Supremacy

The battle for supremacy in Group B of the Under-14 Minister of Education League Cup (MELC) 2011 is likely to go down to the wire between two teams from the east coast – SMK Bukit Nenas of Terengganu and SMK Seberang Temerloh of Pahang.

And this week SMK Bukit Nenas, who were the runners-up last year, kept up the pressure at the top of Group B with another convincing performance to dispose of SMK Gunung Rapat of Perak 3-0.

Kelantan belasah Selangor

Kelantan mengetuk pintu masuk ke perlawanan akhir Piala FA selepas menewaskan Selangor 5-1 selepas pasukan The Red Warriors itu menewaskan Selangor 5-1 pada perlawanan separuh akhir pertama di Stadium Shah Alam, Jumaat.

Kemenangan ini bererti Kelantan semakin hampir pasti mengulangi kejayaan mara ke final Piala FA buat musim kedua berturut-turut disamping mengekalkan rekod bersih The Red Warriors ke atas Selangor dalam tiga pertemuan musim ini.

Things are improving

State and club teams in the M-League owe the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) RM1 million and this amount could not be settled because the case was still in the courts.

Previously the teams owed up to RM7 million, but have settled RM6 million, said Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Vice President, Dato’ Hamidin Mohd Amin.

"Things are improving. The state and club teams have taken the initiative to settle their outstanding dues with EPF," he told reporters at a Media Conference in Wisma FAM, Wednesday.

Kelantan gagal pintas Selangor

Kelantan gagal memintas Selangor di persada Liga Super apabila hanya seri tanpa jaringan dengan Negeri Sembilan pada perlawanan Liga Super yang berlangsung di Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi, Selasa.

Dengan keputusan itu, Kelantan kini menduduki tangga kedua liga dengan mengumpul 40 mata, kurang dua mata di belakang Selangor yang menewaskan Kedah 2-0 di Alor Setar, Isnin lepas.

SMK Seri Kota Close In

SMK Seri Kota of Melaka are close to confirming their runners-up spot in Group A of the Under-14 Minister of Education League Cup (MELC) 2011 in spite of picking up just one point this week following their 2-2 draw against SMK Mutiara Impian of Penang.

The top two teams from each group will make the semi-finals of the championship this year.

With defending champions SMK Tunku Anum of Kedah in full control with 21 points from seven matches , the one point picked up by SMK Seri Kota this week have given them 12 points from the same number of games played.

Rombongan IPG lawat Wisma FAM

Satu rombongan dari Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG) Kampus Bahasa Melayu di Kuala Lumpur telah mengadakan lawatan sambil belajar ke Wisma FAM, pagi Khamis.

Rombongan seramai 38 pelajar itu adalah pelajar-pelajar semester lima dari Fakulti Pendidikan Jasmani dan Kesihatan. Mereka diketuai oleh Pensyarah, Encik Santharan S. Arumugam.

Setiausaha Agung FAM, Dato’ Azzuddin Ahmad menyatakan bahawa FAM sentiasa mengalu-alukan rombongan-rombongan yang ingin melawat dan mengenali FAM dengan lebih dekat lagi.

Badhri keeps Red Warriors on top

Kelantan continue to lead the table after defeating Johor FC 1-0 in a Super League match at the JCorp Stadium in Pasir Gudang, Tuesday.

The win keeps The Red Warriors on top of the table standings with 36 points, same as Selangor, but with a superior goal difference.

Mohd Badhri Mohd Radzi emerged the hero for the east coast side when he notched the winner in the 44th minute.
